Outeroutes stands for the travelling of tomorrow. As outdoor enthusiasts, we have the moral responsibility to preserve what we have come to love. We want to inspire by showcasing that running a business within the hospitality industry can be done differently, yet profitably.
We still have a lot to learn and are far from perfect. Yet, travelling with little to no impact on the environment is and always will be our goal.

Carbon neutral travel
The negative externalities of the hospitality industry have never been addressed appropriately. Facilitators who market themselves in exotic tropical islands (or any other vacation destination) do not carry the financial responsibility they should carry. Getting there is essential, however getting there is costly. We are not badmouthing the industry itself, but we are aware of the impact it has, both good and bad.
For this reason, we have decided to tax ourselves. Outeroutes pledges to offset the carbon you have emitted while getting to one of our destinations. How? by planting forests.
And to make things juicier, we will double your offset necessities.

Offsetting our carbon emissions has never been so easy. All we have to do is supply the necessary funds, and Reforestum takes care of the rest!

Reforestums carbon calculator tells us exactly how much carbon you have emitted with your trip, and what is needed to offset this carbon. During your stay, we will provide you with login details and a certificate to track your contribution through their website.

It’s pretty simple. If you source locally, then your produce has covered less kilometres to get to your plate, resulting in less carbon dioxide emissions!
