Cancellation policy & booking terms

In these times of uncertainty we would like to approach the field of bookings and cancellations with transparency and trust. At Outeroutes we are travellers as well, which is why we know how sensitive this topic can be.
We are on your side!

Our cancellation policy is designed to make sure you know exactly how we handle payments in certain scenarios. We want you to feel safe and comfortable when booking with us. Please be assured that we will do anything in our power to make you happy. If you have  any questions, please never hesitate to contact us.

Deposit

In order to secure your spot at one of Outeroutes’ adventure weeks, you need to pay a non-refundable deposit of 100€. You can pay your deposit through PayPal or bank transfer. Shortly after sending your booking request (mail or our website form), you will receive a confirmation with further information.

Payment of deposit is required within 7 days from our confirmation.

Full payment (balance)

The balance of the full amount is due 42 days prior to the start of the camp week. You have the option to pay through PayPal or bank transfer. We of course have a financial liability insurance that covers all payments made to us. For you that means that your payment will always be safe with us, no matter what.

If you cancel

Please note that there will be no refunds or discounts for arriving late, leaving early, flight cancellations, travel delays or illness (covid regulation differ, see below).

Cancelling your camp week within 42 days of the start date will result in a cancelation charge of 100% of your booking (full payment, deposit + balance). However, we will happily offer you to reschedule with a voucher for a future date (subject to availability). In addition, we strongly encourage you to purchase travel insurance to protect yourself from any unforeseen trouble.

If you, or any member of your party cancel your travel arrangements at any time, written notification from the person who made the booking must be received by us through email at info@outeroutes.com

If we cancel
In the very unlikely event that Outeroutes cancels, we will refund all deposits and camp payments you have made to. We will not however compensate you for airfare or any other travel costs incurred.

Covid-19

The current situation caused by the pandemic, as you can imagine, is very challenging for any operator in the tourism industry. We are very aware of the risks involved and have formed our covid regulations to favour our guests.

Certain costs incurred from our side are non refundable. We have therefore opted to ‘split’ these liabilities with our guests. The goal is to safeguard the company and ensure we will be able to operate in the future.

Our approach is as follows: If a guest cannot travel due to COVID-19 related bans, we will refund 50% (50€) the deposit paid. The balance (if already paid) will be completely refunded– no questions asked.

As stated above: In case Outeroutes cancels an event due to COVID-19 related restrictions, we will refund to you all deposits and payments you have made

Transfer of your booking

If you or any member of your party is prevented from travelling, that person may transfer their place to someone else subject to the following conditions:

  • That person is introduced by you and satisfies each and all of the conditions applicable to the booked travel arrangement;
  • We are notified in writing of the request no later than 14 days prior to the start date;
  • You pay the outstanding balance payment;
  • The transferee agrees to these booking conditions, and all of the terms of the Contract between us.

Travel Insurance

The best way to protect yourself from any unforeseen circumstance is to purchase cancelation/interruption insurance. Travel Insurance can protect you in case:

  •  You cancel your participation
  •  The camp is cancelled due to weather, natural disaster, or not enough participants to run the camp week
  •  Lost baggage or personal items
  •  Medical expenses and the cost of repatriation should you become ill or injured
